by Charles Augustus Rogers

The working poor that serve the millions of Wal-Mart customers across the US and around the world each week, are the unsung heroes of this account, and it is they who are being short changed by the corporate leaders who sit in their ivory towers in Bentonville, Arkansas.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: When I first sat down to begin writing another book I had some extra time on my hands and there remained several personalities that needed to be developed. The thought occurred that both situations might be alleviated by seeking short term employment, and so I placed an on-line job application with Wal-Mart seeking a position at our local Superstore. I had also felt that since almost every person within a 30 mile radius would eventually pass through Wal-Mart’s doors each month, this would be a fitting opportunity to add to my study of people.

I soon learned that there was more of interest to be studied than only people. My search into the secretive world of Bentonville, Arkansas has taken me into dark and dimly lit tunnels where only a few may know what might lie in wait, and from which some have not yet returned.
