Understanding the Baptism of Fire

The pursuit of a deeper spiritual meaning is older than scripture itself. It is the desire of each person to fill an emptiness within us that is crafted for the presence of God. That deeper relationship is only satisfied by an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
Whereas, redemption secures our eternal life; our physical life remains in jeopardy. Jesus told his disciples that it is essential for you that I go away, so, that the Holy Spirit can come. (John 16:7-paraphrased) John the Baptist said of Jesus that he would "Baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire." (Matthew 3:11) It is the desire of our Lord that we know him in a very deep and intimate way that involves our whole being: body, soul, and spirit. He offers us that opportunity through the baptism of fire. "Understanding the Baptism of Fire" is written to communicate, to believers, this good news and provide a scriptural guide into this glorious new life.
