I served 30 years with the Fire Service. Loved the firefighting, but hated the politics. When I retired, I'd been a Captain for 9 years.
My philosophy is to not worry about what "was", or what "is". Instead, do something to improve what "might be".
For the past 10+ years, there's been one "constant" in my life ... her name is Debbie.
